- 8HP70 / 8HP75 8-Speed – Occasional shift glitches and park lock malfunctions in newer 8-speed Rams (some 2019+ models even had recalls for park pawl issues). These can lead to “stuck in Park” or, in worst cases, roll-away risks if Park doesn’t hold.

Big Cummins diesels and Hemi haulers push transmissions like the 2500/3500’s 6-speed to their limits. In the field, a heavy-duty Ram showing up on the hook often has one of these issues:
