ACE staff spotlight: Daniel Gott, The Visionary

My name is Daniel Gott, and my official job title at ACE Transmission Remanufacturing is “The Visionary.” It’s my duty to keep this business moving and growing. I work to ensure we’re always up on the latest and greatest advancements in transmission technology – so we build the best transmissions possible.

Continuing a family tradition

This is a family business. My mom and dad started ACE as a transmission repair service in 1981 – with just $1,200 they earned by selling a Mercury Bobcat. At first, Dad was building transmissions on the kitchen table and Mom wasn’t very happy about it ????.

Over time, the business grew steadily. Dad moved his work into a small commercial building, then a slightly larger shop, and then larger ones.

Today, we’ve grown our repair shop to a huge 21-vehicle-bay campus. And we opened a massive remanufacturing facility across town.

We sell remanufactured transmissions to multiple distributors across the United States.

I started working on units here when I was in junior high school. I’ve been around this industry for a long time. It’s my passion.

Changing the world, one transmission at a time

People think I’m crazy, but I think I can do my part to change the world. We can really improve people’s lives by doing what we do here.

That’s why it’s so important to me to invest in our team members. We spend a lot of time and money on training, certifications, testing, and product research. We also put solid policies in place that help our employees thrive and build a great career in the auto parts industry.

We’ve been growing this business for over 40 years, and we plan to grow it for 40 more!
